AER410   Industrial Training Programme (ITP) Project 4: Propulsion   (20 credits)

Description

This unit will provide an insight into the design, manufacture and in-service performance of propulsion systems and components. This will be a collaboration with Siemens (Lincoln), and Low Carbon Combustion Centre. Siemens will set a real technical challenge and small group sizes will undertake the task and present a report that will require an in-depth literature review. To supplement the main technical challenge there will be focussed technical seminars on relevant topics. These topics will be provided by both academics and engineers. In addition, Siemens will provide seminars on employability skills, data handling, quality and technical skills on topics related to propulsion.
